Hybrid cloud technology is a buzzword for those of us who use SharePoint regularly, and research shows that hybrid cloud systems may soon become the biggest part of SharePoint’s base installation.
However, this is not a new development. And as Office 365 matures, we can expect to see more similar developments.
The Hybrid Cloud
Microsoft’s State of the Hybrid Cloud 2017 discovered that enterprises often think of hybrid as means of supporting further business growth. This report also showed that over 90 percent of customers who have used SharePoint’s hybrid solution were open to utilizing this type of strategy more in the future.
The data shows that new small to medium-sized businesses find it easier to integrate cloud tech (and they are more likely to do so) than long-standing organizations (with piles of data). Having the ability to “hybridize” allows businesses to make use of the benefits of cloud computing and still have access to traditional on-premises data as well.
