Even sports teams are now catching onto the value of having a responsive website.
For three years, Premier League Football Club Sunderland AFC has run a responsive website. And within the last year they have updated this to also be mobile-first.
The benefit of the mobile-first approach is that fans will now be able to experience their football games in ways they never could before using their mobile devices. To bring this to life, Sunderland AFC partnered with Aqueduct, who works to provide retina displays for mobile devices to gain access to high resolution photos and video (provided by Stream UK).
This whole process took about 6 months from start to finish and was celebrated by the team, the fans and the entire region.
